Excel World Entertainment Park gets a facelift

Excel World Entertainment Park (EWE) – formerly known as Excel World – now a fully owned subsidiary of Browns Investments PLC, offers the whole family a one-stop wholesome entertainment spot in the hustle bustle of Colombo 10, one of the busiest areas in the City.

In addition to a well orchestrated entertainment package, facilities for indoor sports and dining have been upgraded and additional facilities included.
While The Keg Restaurant continues to be a lively yet cosy European styled pub and restaurant serving a delectable range of continental and local dishes with space for 150 heads, this cosy European style pub and restaurant is the ideal place to unwind after a hard day’s work, with popular live bands playing on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. All major sports events go live on big screen. Keg also boasts of the most value-for-money buffet in town.
The Blue Room and the Corporate Lounge have been equipped to cater to the senior level Business Executives who value privacy and chilling out after a hard day’s work. In fact, the Blue room is the only private cocktail lounge in Colombo with a capacity to entertain a gathering of 35-40 with a serene setting for an evening.

Commenting on the ‘new look’ of Excel World Entertainment Park following the acquisition of Excel World by Browns Investments a spokesman said that with the inflow of new capital, renovation and refurbishment are underway to give maximum satisfaction to the customers, stating, “Service levels have been upgraded and we are providing a superlative service.”
He added that the refurbished air conditioned food court for clients to enjoy different cuisines with a 200 seating capacity. Park Premier banquet and conference halls are now equipped to cater to 400, the rates though two-star, the services provided are 4/5-star class.
EWE owns the largest Cosmic Bowling Centre with 12 lanes.’ Strikes’ is the ideal venue to meet up with colleagues to unwind and relieve the stress over a game of 10 pin bowling. It is also suitable for birthday parties and corporate team building.
Snow Carnival at The Dome features the most happening event spread over 30 days in December. Snow Carnival is a much awaited event in Colombo, where the entire family, communities, and staff of different companies come to enjoy the spirit of Christmas during December. The Snow Dome has a unique ambience due to its spectacular lightings and the location.
The Naughty Castle is the kiddies play area for below 10 year olds. This is the largest inflatable bouncing area in the country with two huge colourful bouncers with multi playing activities and this will also be an ideal entertainment area for kids to jump around and have fun. Playhouse equipment will be in place very shortly, which also will be the biggest in the country.
Adventura comprises of pirate ship, carousal, bees ride, swan ride, fancy train and bumper cars specially imported from Preston Barbie Italy.  The other features are Lazer Runner- the laser tagging game, popular amongst teenagers as well as corporate as a team building activity, Shotz – the pool parlour with eight tournament size tables caters to young and the old, Game zone – the largest computer token gaming centre in the city , and Ground Zero – the only  latest console gaming centre in the island
EWE also provides a 200+ hassle free parking facility in the spacious premises covering over five acres. The entire park is covered with CCTV cameras` for the safety and security of the customers.
