Record breaking billion rupee bids received, final decision pending: Sri Lanka Cricket

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yesterday formally announced the record breaking billion rupee bids for the sponsorship of its National teams.
SLC has proven the growth of its brand image with the receipt of highly competitive bids, from four parties vying to sponsor the National Cricket teams for a period of three years, starting from June 2013.

Among the companies, who have come forward for the bidding are, Dialog Axiata, Madison Media, Sri Lanka Tea Board and Total Sports Asia.
Two bids were received with the value in excess of two billion rupees. SLC called for tenders from interested parties to appoint the new team sponsor for the Men’s and Women’s National team for the post May 2013 period.   
The new team sponsor will be announced after evaluation and approval by the SLC’s sponsorship and executive committees respectively.
