SLC receives four bids seeking TV, Radio and new media rights
Sri Lanka has received bids from 4 media firms seeking International TV & Radio Broadcast, Internet, Mobile and Sponsorship Rights of Sri Lanka Cricket for the period of 2013 to 2020.
Among those firms are, Taj Television Limited, Nimbus Communications Limited, Neo Prime Sports and Total Sports Asia.
Apart from them, SLC has also received four separate bids seeking rights for TV production of International Cricket matches hosted by Sri Lanka Cricket.
Among them ranks, Kingsdown TV, STV Productions, Nimbus Communications, Sportsorkz Fine Vision Group.
The bids have been opened today by the SLC officials with the presence of representatives of respective bidders and officials of the Ministry of Sports and Auditor Generals Department.
“The bid offers are made up-to our expectations”, Head of Marketing of the SLC, Vajira Dassanayake told News360.lk.
A SLC statement said, that the bids will be submitted to the Technical Evaluation Committee for evaluation and recommendations.
