Korean Air’s direct flights to help Sri Lankan exports and tourism sectors – Korean envoy
Recommencement of direct flights by Korean Air between Colombo and Seoul will help Sri Lankan export and tourism sectors.
South Korea’s Ambassador to Colombo Jong Moon Choi said Sri Lanka–Korea business linkages will be further strengthened in the years to come. He pointed out that the Korean Air’s direct flights to Colombo will show positive results of increased export volumes to Korea from Sri Lanka.
The Korean envoy emphasized that the arrival of Korean tourists to the Island nation is also on the rise. Noting that this is a positive sign that Korean travelers have now included Sri Lanka in their travel itineraries, the Korean Ambassador said they anticipate further increase of tourist arrivals from Korea during this year due to the new flight by Korean Air.
