Redefining luxury in
VIP travel
Ebert Silva Holidays has introduced ‘The Monarch’, a super luxury coach for VIP travel at the Sancharaka Udawa, which concluded on a positive note last week.
A first time in Sri Lanka, the coach consists of a sitting area, a conference area, bedroom, wash room, refrigerator, Wi-Fi and intercom facilities, public address system and travelling compartment for security personnel with 3 LCD TVs and a generator. The Lanka Ashok Leyland coach has automatic transmission and air suspension to ensure absolute comfort in travel. Intended for the high end tourist market, it can accommodate up to 10 persons but ideally for a small family to travel the length and the breath of the country in absolute comfort said Ebert Silva Holidays Chairperson Rajini de Silva Mendis.
This addition will enhance and enrich what Sri Lanka’s tourism industry has to offer to high-end visitors, the visitor category Sri Lanka is yearning for, to meet its ambitious goals of becoming a sought after tourist destination in Asia. The travel mart held for the third consecutive year was organised by Sri Lanka Inbound Tour Operator Association (SLAITO) with the assistance of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau.
The super luxury coach on display was eagerly and enthusiastically received by stakeholders and the public.
The Colombo City Tour, the first ever open deck sightseeing tour in Sri Lanka, a venture in collaboration with Sri Lanka Tourism was also a product showcased by the company at the event. It was the recipient of the Sri Lanka Tourism Award for the ‘Most Improved Tourism Service of the Year’ in 2011 and its second open deck double decker coach was also on display.
