In another pioneering move, NDB introduced extended banking hours at all branches island wide offering the full range banking services until 6 p.m. on weekdays.
Therefore through NDB, customers can now enjoy the true convenience of extended banking hours; while having access to a wide range of banking services such as fund transfers, utility bill payments, pawning, foreign currency exchange and remittances in addition to the traditional services such as cash and cheque deposits and withdrawals.
Commenting on the launch of extended ‘Full Service’ banking hours, Chief Operating Officer of NDB Indrajit Wickramsinghe said, “Although extended banking hours is not a novelty in the market, conventionally banking services offered after-hours are limited to a few. Therefore, NDB has yet again revolutionised the industry by taking a step ahead of the market to offer all banking services until late evening so that customers now don’t have to rush into the bank during lunch breaks to get their banking done. We will be offering a wide range of personal banking services as well as business banking solutions such as issuing of Letters of Credit, Loans, Shipping and Bank guarantees and granting of leasing facilities for the convenience of entrepreneurs and the employed individuals alike.”
“Amidst the strains and stresses of today’s demanding lifestyles, managing time has become a struggle for all. Therefore, having to rush to the bank before 3 p.m. to conduct your essential banking activity is a cause for anxiety and added stress. Having understood this difficulty and placing high regard on our clients’ need for convenience; we decided to keep our doors open for them until 6 p.m. while not limiting to the standards of the industry norm but  extending all our banking services, providing them true convenience. I wish to invite NDB clients to drop in at our branches on their way home to get all their banking done because we are now open for them until late evening,” said Wickramasinghe.
With such pioneering banking solutions and enhanced convenience, NDB remains dedicated to bringing its customers one-step closer to accomplishing their lifelong ambitions and enriching their lifestyles.
