Graham Ford appointed as ‘Head Coach’ of Surrey
English county Club, Surrey has appointed current Sri Lankan Coach Graham Ford, as its ‘Head Coach’ starting from February 2014.
A statement published on the club website said, Ford, 52, will join them in February and work alongside Alec Stewart – who will continue serving on the Club board with the new title as Director of Cricket.
“A widely respected coach in both the domestic and International scene, Ford – who has signed a three year deal at the Kia Oval – has enjoyed successful spells coaching Natal, South Africa, Kent and Sri Lanka’, added the statement.
“I am delighted to once again be involved in English cricketing system. I have, for a long while, been an admirer of Surrey CCC and see it as a great privilege to be actively involved in such a fine club. I look forward to the exciting times ahead!”, Ford was quoted saying following his appointment.
