SLC will announce its limited over captain on the 09th January

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will announce its limited over captain on the 09^th January, 2018.

This was decided following a discussion held yesterday (03^rd January, 2018) at Sri Lanka Cricket, over the appointment of a white-ball captain to lead the Sri Lankan side into the future.

Mr. Thilanga Sumathipala, President, SLC, Mr. K. Mathivanan, Vice President, In-charge of International Cricket, SLC, Mr. Ashley De Silva, CEO of the SLC, Mr. Graeme Labrooy, Chairman of the National Selection Panel, Mr. Asanka Gurusinha, Sri Lanka Cricket Manager and Mr. Chandika Hathurusinghe, the Head Coach of the team was present at the meeting.

 “During the discussion, the Chairman of selectors informed me that they are considering appointing either Angelo Mathews or Dinesh Chandimal to fill the role.” said Thilanga Sumathipala, President of SLC.
