Sri Lanka is to purchase 50 electric buses to improve the public transport service.
The buses will be purchased for the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), the Government said.
The Government said that cabinet approved a proposal put forward by Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva to purchase the buses.
