Child’s brutal killing shocks Jaffna
The brutal killing of a three year old girl shocked residents of Vannarpannai in Jaffna last Friday.
The young girl was stabbed to death by her irate uncle who later committed suicide.
According to reports from the area, the incident took place at the residence of Gunaratnam in Vannarpannai in Jaffna.
During a family dispute the 33 year old man had stabbed his brother’s three year old daughter and his 55 year old mother.
The child died in the house while 55 year old Palameshwari was admitted to hospital in serious condition.
The man who carried out the murder had then committed suicide, the Police said.
