Security Forces Headquarters – Jaffna assists students in Jaffna

Security Forces Headquarters – Jaffna is continuing to support students in the Jaffna area for their education.

An event was held in Jaffna this week at Security Forces Headquarters organized under the guidance of Security Forces Commander – Jaffna, Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi and in collaboration with the Hounslow Sri Lankean Janahanda Foundation in UK.

At the event, 50 students from low income families in the Jaffna area were given scholarships. These students will be given Rs. 5000 per month for a period of 5 years to assist their education.

Srilal Diyas and a few other Sri Lankans who are living in UK participated at this occasion representing the Hounslow Sri Lankean Janahanda Foundation. Security Forces Commander – Jaffna, Maj General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Divisional Secretary Mr Nagalingam Vedanaham, Director of Customs Mr Wasantha Silva, Teachers, Parents and Officers in the Security Forces Headquarters were also in attendance.
