Sri Lanka to introduce a new economic plan next week
A new economic plan is to be introduced for Sri Lanka next week, the National Economic Council said.
The National Economic Council which met under the leadership of President Maithripala Sirisena decided to introduce the new economic plan with speedy management changes.
President Maithripala Sirisena had said earlier that the economy was under severe strain over the past three years.
Sirisena said that he will look to bring down the cost of living and also protect local investors.
He urged local investors to put their money on Sri Lanka and not overseas and assured them his fullest support. (Colombo Gazette)
