Rob Ford: David Price no longer working in the mayor’s office
David Price, the mayor’s controversial logistics director, is no longer working for city hall.
Rob Ford’s family friend, and his sole remaining senior adviser, lost his job amid the transfer of powers and budget that has seen half of the mayor’s staff shuffled over Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly’s team, a source has confirmed.
Price, who earned $130,000 a year, has cleaned out his office, according to Sheila Paxton, Ford’s former policy director, who is now part of Kelly’s staff.
Price could not be reached for comment. His city hall cell phone number, which directed callers to his voicemail earlier in the day, was disconnected by mid-morning on Wednesday. An email to Price’s city hall account also bounced back.
The city’s communications chief Jackie DeSouza said she could not comment on staffing changing in the mayor’s office “until all decisions are finalized and paperwork is completed.”
