Colombo Stock Exchange together with the SEC Sri Lanka will hold a forum during the first week of March to attract local IT-BPO firms to list in the Colombo bourse.

The event, which is to be held on the 5th of March is backed by the Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies.(SLASSCOM).

Organizers will be lining up a series of speakers to address the audience at this event, which will see top decision makers of the IT-BPO firms taking part.

The forum will commence with an introductory presentation by CEO of the CSE Rajeeva Bandaranaike, while Vice-President of Copal Amba  Asanka Herath will deliver a presentation under the title of, “Valuing your Company”

Following the presentation, a panel discussion too would be held where participants can pose questions.

“Sri Lankan IT/BPO industry is on a rapid growth trajectory and gaining increasing attention globally. We would anticipate a growth of over 23% YoY this year at industry level, therefore many of the SLASSCOM companies are now gearing for their next phase of growth,” Chairman of the SLASSCOM Madu Ratnayake was quoted saying in a statement issued by the CSE.

“Listing on the Stock Market would create avenues for companies to raise funds for this growth acceleration and will provide the general public an opportunity to participate in this very exciting growth phase of the industry, as investors,” Ratnayake further added.
