The 127th media workshop organised under the News1st classroom programme, was held on Friday at Dudley Senanayake College, Colombo 5.
The workshop which incorporated several topics including news reporting and new media usage, also featured a number of practical exercises.
Students were also given the opportunity to showcase their talents.
Vice Principal of Dudley Senenayake College, Ven. Ulapane Sumangala Thera said:
“It is of great value when such workshops are held across the country to educate children on the media. This was what I felt after sitting through the entire workshop, through to its conclusion. We ask that more workshops of this kind be held across the country to improve our children’s knowledge and make them enthusiastic about the media.”
