South Korea assures optimum support for development
Korea’s new Ambassador Chang Wongsom has assured maximum support for Sri Lanka’s development.
The Korean diplomat said that Sri Lanka will receive full support of the Korean Government for development in the Industrial, Investment, Education and Tourism sectors.
Chang Wongsom who is the newly appointed South Korean Ambassador to Sri Lanka gave this assurance when he called on Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne after assuming his duties. Lauding the peaceful climate prevailing in Sri Lanka, he said that his Government is prepared to extend every support to further strengthen bilateral ties between South Korea and Sri Lanka.
Expressing his views, Prime Minister Jayaratne said that Sri |Lanka highly valued the contribution made by South Korea to the island nation. He was optimistic that South Korea will continue to support Sri Lanka in the future.
