Cartoon Network Enterprises appoints Rainco as licensing agents for Sri Lanka

  • Rainco to sell licensee options for Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls and M.A.D.

Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) on Wednesday announced the appointment of Rainco, a leading brand for rainwear in South Asia with a presence in India, Maldives and Sri Lanka, to sell licensee options for the Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls and Music, Art & Dance (M.A.D.) franchises.
As official representatives of CNE, Rainco will be responsible for acquiring and growing the CNE business in Sri Lanka by leveraging these brands through product and promotional licensors. Rainco will allocate credible vendors across product categories such as apparel, back to school, toys, stationary, publishing, home entertainment, etc. to license iconic properties such Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls and M.A.D. (Music, Art & Dance) among a host of other classics from the Turner Portfolio.
These iconic shows are available on Dialog. Peo TV along with Art TV and Hiru TV.
Rainco Managing Director Fazal Fausz said: “As veterans within the merchandising industry in Sri Lanka, we are confident that Cartoon Network Enterprises will benefit from our expertise in this market. We are thrilled to handle such a illustrous portfolio of brands and look forward to a successful tenure.”
Fausz stressed the fact that Rainco would be offering the authentic product and promotional license and that Rainco is the only representative in Sri Lanka who is authorised to sell this license. “There are over 5,000 SKUs that the potential licensees can choose from. Corporate clients from the FMCG industry too could look at promotional licensing opportunities.”
