Forward march of the left movement cannot be stopped – Rajitha
Issuing of controversial statements by various ministers of the government is going up at present and Minister Rajitha Senaratna is one of such minister who comes out with prominent statements. He is expressing his opposition to BBS as well as to a lesser degree towards the government.
At a ceremony held at the Public Library auditorium Minister Senaratna said, “Today any leader in any country cannot think about a tomorrow. The young, in a manner no one expected, are exchanging views about politics. No one knows where they emerge from or when they would explode.”
He had said, “When we were young we moved with left ideology. But they were obscured after some time. Now they have started emerging. They cannot be put down whether we like them or not.”
During the presidential election in 2005 Minister Rajith Senaratna, despite being a minister of Rajapaksa government now, filed a case in Supreme Court regarding a fraud in ‘Helping Hambantota’ tsunami fund.
