Galgamuwa Abduction: Police seek public assistance

Police request the public to notify any information regarding the abducted child in Galgamuwa.

A group that broke into a house in the Katugampola area in Meegalewa, Galgamuwa kidnapped a four and a half year old boy around 7.45 pm. on Monday (28). According to the Police, no information has come to light yet about the whereabouts of the child. The parents of the kidnapped child were assaulted and had sustained injuries. Yasen Lankanath Kumara Ekanayake’s father is a businessman.

 

The Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana states that continuous investigations are underway into the incident.

 

According to the Police Media Spokesperson’s Office, 4 individuals who had been wearing masks had arrived in 2 motorcycles and had abducted the child.

 

Police request the public to notify the nearest Police Station or any numbers given below if they have any information regarding the abducted child.
