Nations Trust Bank, one of Sri Lanka’s leading commercial banks and American Express announced the launch of Nations Trust Bank American Express Travel Card in Sri Lanka.
The new card is targeted at a growing segment of international travellers in Sri Lanka, travelling for education, business or leisure. Convenient and hassle free, the prepaid card will enable customers of Nations Trust Bank travelling internationally to overcome the hassle of carrying foreign currency and get value added benefits while travelling.
The Nations Trust Bank American Express Travel Card is a US dollar card with a fixed exchange rate.  This safeguards card members from sudden and unexpected USD to LKR exchange rate fluctuations at all times. Card members can utilise their card at merchant outlets and ATM locations worldwide.
Customers will be able to keep track of their finances on the Travel Card by accessing online banking facilities with Nations Trust Bank which include card statements and transaction details. Card members are also provided with a backup card which can be activated and utilised immediately should the primary card be misplaced or stolen.
This new card will be launched with a special introductory offer that will give card members complimentary access to the Executive Lounge at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) or to opt for a Travel Wallet, on loading their Nations Trust Bank American Express Travel Card with $ 1,000 or more till 30 September. What’s more, a special data roaming package from Dialog will also be on offer for travellers till 15 September.

Fernando added: “Card members will also benefit from a multitude of features, including a fixed exchange rate.  Furthermore complimentary travel insurance is provided when $ 1,000 and above is loaded on to the American Express Travel Card.”
