Abans Environmental Services, AB Securitas and Cleantech helps drought victims

Abans Environmental Services Ltd, AB Securitas Ltd and Cleantech Ltd which are part of Abans Group, jointly carried out a drinking water donation project to help the people affected by severe drought conditions that was prevailing in the eastern region of the country. This was carried out as part of the companies’ CSR initiatives and 500 families in Meegaswewa village in Medirigiriya were donated with bottled drinking water under this project.
The project was organised by the management and the employees of Abans Environmental Services, AB Securitas and Cleantech with the generous donations collected from their own staff members. A total of over 15,000 litres of bottled drinking water was distributed by the staff members participated to witness this worthy cause in Meegaswewa on 10 August 2014.
Abans Environmental Services General Manager Yasalal Wickramarachchi stated, “At Abans, Corporate Social Responsibility is more than an idea: it’s part of our culture and it’s who we are. Our commitment to help out the society wherever we can is something we always give priority. We are very happy to be of some sort of an aid to these families who need the help of corporate community.”
