Within two days of ‘Divi Neguma Sahana Aruna’ Beneficiaries get Rs.740 million
Within two days of launching the “Divi Neguma Sahana Aruna” programme 50,132 beneficiaries obtained credit facilities worth Rs.740 million from Divi Neguma Community Banks throughout the country. The programme was ceremonially launched on last Monday (01).
Such a large number of people joining the programme is the result of beneficiaries being able to obtain on the spot loans up to a maximum of Rs.50,000 without any guarantors, age limits, collateral and age limit.
The credit facilities were given for improving projects in the areas of agriculture, livestock, fisheries and cottage industries. Over 1 million people are expected to benefit from the programme during the course of this month through loans given by 1,073 Community Banks in 327 Secretarial Divisions.
