For HSBC Premier customers
HSBC Premier will host an exclusive wildlife photography program with Chitral Jayatilake for the banks Premier customers on 20 September at the Laksala Museum Gallery. The family oriented educative program will include additional sessions on personal portraits and an art corner for kids.
A photo has the power to convey a million messages, stir emotions and spark conversations. This customised program delivered by Chitral will focus on using theories and techniques of the craft to provoke and inspire participants to turn their photography into art. Chitral Jayatilake, Head of Eco Tourism and Special Projects at Cinnamon Nature Trails is among Sri Lanka’s best known wildlife photographers. He has been a forerunner in developing photography in the country, whilst leading the organisation on an all island wildlife-photo competition for the Wildlife & Nature Protection Society of Sri Lanka in 2006.
He won his first award in photography from Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh at the young age of seventeen. He has showcased his work at numerous exhibitions since 2001. Some of his published work includes Wilds of Lanka in 2003, Moments of Truth in 2008 and the most recent Reflections of the Wild, last year.
The program will also offer opportunities to join customised wildlife tours exclusively for HSBC Premier customers and first hand information on wildlife exclusions and guided tours available through Cinnamon Nature Trails. In addition, Premier customers can avail themselves to a special saving of 20% on all items retailed at the Laksala Gallery. The photography and wildlife program is part of a series of lifestyle events linked to family, life and experience, which builds on the concept of ‘personal economy’ in line with the recent Premier re-launch in Sri Lanka.
Cinnamon Nature Trails are the award-winning Wildlife and Adventure Tourism Division of Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts.
