Showers over the country

The Met. Dept. says atmospheric conditions are getting favorable for showers over the  country.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

 

Thundershowers will develop at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or evening. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

 

General public is  requested to take adequate precautions to minimize the damages caused by lightning activities.

City Forecast:

Several spells of showers in Rathnapura, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Colombo and Galle.


Afternoon or evening thundershowers in Anuradhapura, Trincomalee and Batticaloa.


A few showers are likely  in Mannar and Jaffna.

 

Max. Temperature of 36 °C is expected from Trincomalee and Anuradhapura.

Min. Temperature of 11 °C is expected from Nuwara Eliya.
