Government has stolen 45000 votes from me, this is a ‘gilmart’ result-Fonseka
The leader of the Democratic Party Sarath Fonseka is very disappointed about the results at the concluded Uva PC election. He is of the firm belief that the government had stolen 45000 of the votes of his party. He has vouched to complain to the Elections Commissioner today.
He has said that three days before the election a President’s coordinator had telephoned him and told about the plan of the government not to allow him to win a single seat.
Another reason is that the manner how the people flocked to attend the meetings, this result cannot be accepted and agreed upon.
