State Children's Drama Festival 2014 ends today
The State Children’s Drama festival 2014 jointly organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Panel of Drama of the Sri Lanka Arts Council on the instructions of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts will will come to an end today (30).
The four dramas that will be staged today at 5pm. at the New Town Hall in Colombo 07 are “Sudu hadawath” pf Mara/St.Thomas Girls high School, “Sukiri Gedara mayakari” of katu/Puja National School, “Hatpeti Mala” of Anula Viddyalaya - Nugegoda and “Hama Dawasama Suba Patumak” of Kandy Swaranamali Balika Vidyalaya.
On September 29, the dramas Matath Puluwan mamath Ennada” of Ke/St.Joshap Balika Maha Vidyalaya, “Milirum tulihargal” of F.Rajina Mary, “Malpibideyi Suvanda Daniyi” of Muceaus College, Colombo and “Sarasen” of D.W.Pawara Nawamini were staged.
48 Sinhala, Tamil and English children’s dramas were staged in the final round in three languages comprising 30 dramas from the limited category and 18 from the open category. (KH)
