The company began its journey many years ago in the corporate business world by launching its simple stencil duplicators that are used to reproduce documents in quick time. The success story of these machines sooner made it popular among every schools, Government departments and business enterprises and was extensively used to make multiple copies inexpensively.
Today, their product basket is filled with technologically sound products that can save loads of time and money for any business ventures. Day-to-day document reproduction in any business operation is an inevitable part, indeed businesses in Sri Lanka demands hundreds and thousands of documents to be reproduced on a daily recurring basis. Gestetner of Ceylon Plc, a public quoted company, is proud in steering businesses in this vital area of document management.
In reality, the line between ICT and office automation is narrowing as these equipment can perform many of the ICT functions such as scan to e-mail, scan to folder and PC faxing, etc.
“In fact, the premium ICT exhibition – INFOTEL and its FITIS body is not a stranger to Gestetner of Ceylon Plc as we are regular exhibitor for years. This is because, we continued to believe it’s the right stage for us to showcase our latest machines, related solutions and the capabilities and knowhow,” said Managing Director  Chandima Perera.
This time, they are proud to announce that they are participating in this premium ICT exhibition as the ‘Official Office Automation Partner’ for 2014.
Gestetner of Ceylon Plc has been the sole authorised distributor for the Gestetner brand in Sri Lanka for years until the global business challenges provided an opportunity to Ricoh, a Japanese global market leader in office automation, to acquire the UK based company Gestetner. This paved the way to leverage the advantages of both companies to bring in world class office automation products.
Gestetner of Ceylon Plc pioneered the introduction of digital copiers to the Sri Lankan market in mid 1999. Upon the success of digital copier launch, they introduced another first to the Sri Lankan market, the ‘copier outsourcing scheme’ which enabled the corporate world to buy copiers without blocking CAPEX.
In line with the Infotel 2014’s theme ‘A Smarter Tomorrow,’ Gestetner of Ceylon Plc is introducing the EZ-charger and ESA-transformer solutions to control the escalating costs of printing, photocopying and scanning. The EZ Charger is embedded with the multifunctional copier allows allocation of detailed quotas for copying, printing and scanning to specific user IDs. This enables monitoring and control of office resources according to individual users or groups, resulting in a more efficient workplace.
The ESA Transformer accomplishes a valuable function in transforming hardcopy documents into editable soft versions in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint or Word formats through a simple scanning process which will increase operational efficiency.
Gestetner of Ceylon Plc invites everyone to visit INFOTEL 2014 exhibition at the BMICH conventional main hall – A, stall number 48, 49, 68 and 69 on 24, 25 and 26 October to see all these gadgets.
