Nestlé Lanka announces management change

Ganesan Ampalavanar, currently Managing Director of Nestlé Lanka Plc, will assume the position of Managing Director of Nestlé Vietnam from 1 February 2015.
Ampalavanar joined Nestlé in his home country of Malaysia as a management trainee in 1991. During his career he rose to fill roles in marketing and sales, before being appointed Sales Director in Malaysia in 2003.
In March 2008, he moved to the South Asia region as Head of Sales, a position he held until his appointment to his current role as Managing Director of Nestlé Lanka in January 2013.
In Sri Lanka, Ampalavanar demonstrated his extensive commercial experience and leadership capabilities in delivering superior business results and working effectively with all stakeholders.
Shivani Hegde, who is presently the Business Executive Manager (Food), India, will be appointed as Managing Director for Sri Lanka, effective 1 February 2015.
Hegde has a track-record of consistent business results built on strong marketing and business capabilities and was instrumental in building the Maggi brand in India. This, combined with her extensive experience, stands her in good stead as she takes on her new country management role.
