Sarath N Silva has no legal powers to say President cannot contest a third term
The Deputy Minister Hemal Gunasekera addressing a meeting had said that former Chief Justice Sarath N Silva and JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake have mentioned that the President cannot contest for a third term.He had said the former Chief Justice has no legal right to say so.The eligibility of the President to contest a third term has been obtained by a two thirds majority in parliament.He will not only contest but become President again was said by him.
