Sri Lankan Airlines’ A330-300 fortified with Thales AVANT system
With this milestone, Sri Lankan Airlines becomes the first to take delivery of Thales’s latest generation system for the Airbus A330.
The first delivery inaugural commercial flight is expected early November.
The airline’s class cabin, business and economy, offers passengers the best cabin services including large interactive displays, in-seat power, USB connection for mobile devices, and for business class, the award winning Touch Passenger Media Unit for a second screen experience.
“Our new A330 aircraft is aligned every way to suit the needs of the modern-day traveler. At Sri Lankan Airlines we have carefully designed this full featured aircraft for a greater customer experience. We are very pleased to have on-board the latest Thales AVANT In-Flight Entertainment,” said Sri Lankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kapila Chandrasena.
The program covers six line-fit A330 aircraft with deliveries between Q4 2014 – Q4 2015.
New functionalities Sri Lankan Airlines will introduce include:
Audio and Video on Demand at every seat,
3D Map applications for flight information,
Multi-Language including: Sinhala and Tamil,
Route Specific Programming,
Landscape Camera and a wide variety of games.
