Youth development between NYSC and Beijing Foreign Studies University

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development has taken steps to implement the MoU signed in respect of Youth Development between the National Youth Services Council and the Beijing Foreign Studies University in China

The activities relating to the above MoU which has been signed between the two countries which mainly cover the following providing education on Chinese Language to the Sri Lankan students; and providing education on Sinhala Language to the students of China and establishing a Tamil Language Academic Division in the Beijing Foreign Studies University in China.

 

This MoU covers the following facts:

 

I.Provide an education on Chinese language to the students of Sri Lanka. In view of implementing this, Chinese instructors will be visited Sri Lanka and be provided their volunteer service contribution to the students of Sri Lanka.

 

II. Actions will be taken to provide an education on Sinhala language to the students of China and to establish a Tamil language Academic Division in the Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. The service of the instructors of Sri Lanka will be provided to the Beijing Foreign Studies University in China and the expenses for them will be incurred by the National Youth Services Council.

 

III. Provide books, documents printed in Chinese language and equipment to the students of Sri Lanka for their usage. The Beijing Foreign Studies University in China will be provided the contribution for this.

 

IV. Provide books, documents printed in Sinhala language and equipment to the Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. National Youth Services Council will be provided the contribution for this.
