People should rally round President Rajapaksa to defeat conspiracies - Pavithra

History shows us that there were conspiracies to destabilize the country in by-gone times and there are conspiracies even today.  But people have rallied round today as a source of strength to ward them.

Minister of Power and Energy and SLFP Assistant Secretary Ms.Pavithra Wanniarachchi was speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the Main Election Office of the UPFA  at Eheliyagoda recently.

She stated that Maithreepala Sirisena has been used as a paw to appoint Ranil Wickramasinghe who handed over a part of the country in writing, to the LTTE, as the future Prime Minister.

The Minister further questioned “Whom are they going to bring into power?” “ Mr. Maithreepala Sirisena holding a press conference said that he would alleviate Ranil Wickramasinghe to the post of Executive Prime Minister.  What are they going to do now?  Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe the person who gave a written agreement to Prabhakaran allocating to him a part of the country is to be brought back to power using Maithreepala Sirisena”.

“What did Ranil Wickramasinghe do when he was Prime Minister?  In 2002 he issued the circular that no recruitments should be done in the public sector.  Who were the recipients of jobs during the UNP regime?  Nothing was done.  The Rural Development Sector was stagnant.  Did they give electricity?  Did they provide toilet facilities to schools?  Was any assistance given for self employment?  We must recognize this enemy.  We must understand the situation if Ranil Wickramaisnghe gets back to power.

“Our President Mahinda Rajapakshe who is from the village understands the difficulties of the villager.  He has fully understood the problems in the village and is working towards uplifting villages by constructing roads, by providing electricity and also good transport services”, she further emphasized.
