Wind speed up to 70km/hr likely over the country and the sea areas

The possibility for increasing of wind speed (up to 70 Km/hr) at times over the country and over the sea areas around the island is high, says Met. Dept.

 

Prevailing showery weather is expected to continue over most parts of the country.

 


Intermittent showers or thundershowers will occur in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, Uva and Central provinces and in the Hambanthota district. Showers or thundershowers will occur at times elsewhere too. Heavy showers (more than 100mm) are also likely at some places.

Intermittent showers or thundershowers in Batticaloa, Trincomalee and Anuradhapura.

Showers or thundershowers at times in Colombo, Galle, Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Jaffna and Mannar.


Max.Temperature of 28.0°C expected from Colombo, Galle, Ratnapura, Jaffna and Mannar.
Min. Temperature of 12.0°C is expected from Nuwara Eliya.
