GCE (O/L) Examination 2014 concludes today
The GCE O/L Examination 2014 which began on Dec.09 concludes today (Dec.18).
This year, a total of 578,135 candidates including 370,030 school candidates and 208,105 private candidates were qualified to sit for the examination.
The examination was held at 4,279 examination centres countrywide including Nainativu (Nagadeepa), Analaitivu and Delft Island. A total of 38,200 staff were on duty for the purpose.
Special examination centres were set up at the Magazine Prison in Colombo and Suneetha Vidyalaya in Watareka, Padukka for those in prison custody and for children who need special care at the Ratmalana Deaf and Blind Schoo, Matara Rohana Deaf and Blind Schoo and Shivaraj Vidyalaya in Mahawewa.(KH)
