The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) recently renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at enhancing the accountancy profession.
The MoU which will reinforce closer working relations between the two organisations, was signed between President of CA Sri Lanka, Arjuna Herath and Chief Executive Officer of ICAEW Michael Izza.
The MoU was initially signed in October 2010 enabling qualified members of either Institute to join the other and to obtain non-auditing practising rights.
The agreement applies to all appropriately qualified and experienced ICAEW and CA Sri Lanka members and recognises the evolution of both qualifications and the CPD responsibilities of members.
