President Rajapaksa Presides over the All-Island Adhan Competition Awards Ceremony
The ceremony to present awards to the winners of the final round of the Azan competition organized by the National Radio was held under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, yesterday (30) at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre.
President Rajapaksa addressing the gathering said he is very much proud of the relationship he is having with Muslims in Sri Lanka.
Addressing the ceremony Abdul Catder Mashoor Maulana said SLBC has allowed them to recite Azan five times a day through its channels. He thanked the Chairman Hudson Samarasinghe in this regard and said that Muslims should express gratitude for this.
Invitees including Vice Chancellor of Ishanya University in Saudi Arabia Aisheik Zarook were present. (KH)
