He has received information that personnel of SL Navy were deployed for the affairs of Avant-Garde Security Services [Pvt] Ltd that was operated with the direct involvement of former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the income received by the involvement of Navy personnel was denied to the government but was divided between several persons says the convener of ‘Voice against Corruption’ Wasantha Samarasinghe.
He said this at a press conference held yesterday (30th).
The security company was established to provide security to ships sailing in the southern sea and now it is being revealed that the Rs.39000 million income that was received by the government has been shared by several persons. SL Navy provided security to ships in the area before Avant-Garde Security Services [Pvt] Ltd was assigned for the job.
