CCC Facilitates MOU Of Lankan Jeweller And Norwegian Gift Marketer

Sri Lanka’s Naraa Jewellery Mart and Norway’s VIVO Holdings AS, a firm dealing with books, gifts and handmade articles, have signed an MOU for a Joint Venture Agreement in the future in a bid help expand the business scope of each other.

Under the new partnership, facilitated by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the Norwegian firm will help Naraa, which is involved in manufacturing and marketing of precious metal and fashion jewellery in the local market to lift their product quality to match the Scandinavian market.

In addition, the Norwegian firm will also help the local firm in orgarnising and making promotional and marketing material, study and search the Scandinavian market trends and formulate a mechanism in Branding the product range in that region.

The MOU was signed by Ushantha Ekanayaka representing Naraa Jewellery Mart and Bjorn Bondevik of VIVO Holdings AS.

The Ceylon Chamber facilitated this project under the NORAD Project, which is working on establishing sustainable and profitable joint ventures between the Norwegian and Sri Lankan companies.
