Video: Another Rajapaksa to defend ‘Avant garde’
It is being revealed that a Rajapaksa from the new government is behind the obstruction regarding the investigations on the ‘floating armoury’ belonging to Avant Garde Security Services Ltd that created an outburst in the society.
There was a dialogue in the legal sector that instructions given to the Attorney General’s Department to release the passport of the owner of the company that had been impounded by Court to facilitate the ongoing investigations was suspicious. The Leader of the JVP expressing his views recently regarding this said that Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa and Tilak Marapana, the adviser to the Prime Minister, had given instructions to the Attorney General’s Department. This statement too has created an outcry in the society.
Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa speaking regarding this says the JVP that was vituperating the previous government is making false accusations. Meanwhile, the owner of Avant Garde, making a hurried statement, challenges the JVP Leader for a debate with him regarding the matter.
Mr. Anura Dissanayaka making a special statement says the correctness of his statement is proved when the owner of the Avant Garde appears for Mr. Wijedasa Rajapaksa reminding the idiom ‘cart before the horse’.
Mr. Dissanayaka said the act to release the passport of the owner of Avant Garde by Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa and Tilak Marapana, the adviser to the Prime Minister, was first exposed when a senior official of the Attorney General’s Department made a statement when he was called to the National Executive Council (NEC). When he made the statement the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs were present said Mr. Dissanayaka.
