Implement obligations without wait - Sobhitha Thero
We had to work tirelessly some painful years before set the stage for President Maithripala Sirisena to defeat Rajapakse regime said Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero who is the convenor of the national movement for just society.
So the current president is under obligation to fulfil his promises. This was stated by the Thero addressing a conference organised by the Citizens for Just Society movement.
He reminded the president it was them who suggested six months was needed to do the reforms but president himself promised to implement in 100 days. He indicated government attitude toward the reforms are suspicious and not all that happy it moves forward.
He also reminded that he was not invited to the national executive council though some news papers indicated that he was to participate.
