Light Showers will occur at several places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district. Showers or thundershowers will develop at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or evening.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize the damages caused by lightning activities.
Weather forecast for sea areas around the island during next 24 hour
Light Showers will occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Trincomalee to Hambantota via Pottuvil. Showers or thundershowers will occur in the other sea areas around the island during the afternoon or night.
Winds will be Easterly and the speed will be 20-40 kmph. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
Sea areas around the island will not be rough, but can be temporary rough during the thundershowers.
