Gnanasara Thera grilled by special unit

Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera was yesterday summoned by the special Police unit to investigate religious disputes, established under the Buddha Sasana Ministry.

The Buddhist monk had been notified to appear before the unit to give a statement in connection with a complaint filed by a religious organisation against certain remarks he had made.
The BBS yesterday said that Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera visited the Police unit and gave his statement after the Thera was summoned by the unit.
The special Police unit was established to investigate incidents of violence targeting a community or individuals based on their religion.
