Electronic system for Tea Auctions
An Electronic System is to be introduced in Sri Lankan Tea Auctions. This was revealed by Minister of Plantation Industries Mahinda Samarasinghe.
Taking part in an inspection tour at the Sri Lanka Tea Auction at Nawam Mawatha today, the Minister opined that the Government has launched several projects for the development of the tea sector and to upgrade the quality of Sri Lanka Tea.
Minister Samarasinghe pointed out that Sri Lanka tea still has a demand in the World tea market despite the rumours which were spread by several elements to destroy the export of SL tea.
