MP Navin Dissanayake appoints investigative committee over irregularities at SLC
Minister of Tourism and Sports, Navin Dissanayake, has appointed an investigative committee, to inquire into alleged irregularities and abuse of power, by the Former Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket.
Issuing a communique on Tuesday May 26, the Media Unit of the Ministry of Sports noted that Senior State Counsels Ravi Algama and Jaliya Bodhinagoda and Attorne- at-Law Waruna Mallawaarachchi had been appointed to the investigative committee.
The communique reads further that the first sitting of the committee was held at the Ministry of Sports on Tuesday and that further sittings would be held at the Headquarters of the National Olympic Committee.
