Johnston released on bail
Former minister of Co-operatives & Internal Trade, Johnston Fernando has been released on bail today (28), Police Media Unit told Ceylon Today Online.
Kurunegala High Courts released the former minister on three personal bails worth Rs 2,500,000 and a surety bail worth Rs 25,000.
He was arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) on 5 May over alleged financial frauds in Sathosa after he gave a statement to FCID. He was denied bail and remanded until 8 June by Kurunegala Magistrate's Courts on 25 May.
