Opposition leaders more focussed on position rather than the people: Min. Sajith Premadasa
Speaking at an event held to inaugurate the construction of the Lunugamvehera Bus Depot, Minister of Housing and Samurdhi,Sajith Premadasa stated that the current leaders in the opposition are most focussed on position than the people.
He further noted that usually, what an opposition does is become a voice for the people and they need to engage in struggles demanding for relief for the people. He further added that the opposition needs to make life for the people easy, and rather than doing that, what they are more focussed on is obtaining positions.
He also noted that the first attempt failed and now they have sent the leaders of the Alliance and has heard a earful and returned. He also added that the decision taken by the President is the correct one and it was the President that defeated the rule of the thieves and created good governance. The minister also further questioned how the President can appoint the leader of that type of rule as his second in command ?
The construction will take place under the Pura Neguma Project at a cost of Rs.20 million.
