Special transport service begins for Poson
A special train service will be in place from Sunday, May 31, for devotees travelling to Anuradhapura for the Poson festival. Superintendent of Railway Transport L. A. R Ratnayake stated the train will run between Anuradhapura and Mihintale.
Meanwhile, Deputy General Manager of the Sri Lanka Transport Board Raja Gunatilleke noted that 450 additional buses have also been brought from Anuradhapura.
District Secretary of Anuradhapaura D.P.G Kumarasiri stated the focus will be on the areas of Anuradhapura, Thanthirimale and Mihintale until the Poson week ends on June 5.
