CEBEU knives out for Power Minister

The Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers Union (CEBEU) has told the senior management of the Power and Energy Ministry that they are not pleased with the way the Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera was handling the issues they are beset with.The CEB trade union is planning to have a discussion with President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday said that the Ceylon Electricity Board needed restructuring.He said that plans were underway to get the approval from the Cabinet to commence the unbundling of CEB with its Generation, Transmission and Supply to be separated.
