Sri Lanka sell Rs60bn mostly in 3-month bills, yield up
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has sold 60 billion rupees of Treasury bills with most of the money taken from 3-month bills at the bill auction on August 17, data from the state debt office showed.
The debt office sold 50 billion rupees of 3-month bills at 29.44 percent up 101 basis points after offering 30 billion rupees.
Only 6.1 billion rupees of 6-month bills were sold at 28.96 percent, down 10 basis points, after offering 15 billion rupees.
Only 3.8 billion rupees of 12-month bills were sold at 29.14 percent, down 10 basis points after offering 15 billion rupees.
The debt office offered 60 billion rupees of bills and sold them all. (Colombo/Aug 17/2022)
