Sri Lanka customs collects Rs450bn in up to August: Minister
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka Customs has earned 60 percent of an annual revenue target of 750 billion rupees by August 31, State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has said.
“We have a target of earning 750 billion rupees and by August 31 we have earned 60 percent of it,” Minister Siyambalapitiya has said speaking to Customs officers.
“That means we can reach the target.”
Sri Lanka presented an interim budget in September revising the annual revenue target to 2,085 billion rupees from an original 2274 billion. (Colombo/Sept21/2022)
